Schumacher | Broken Chevron Cut Velvet

Broken Chevron Cut Velvet takes its cue from a painted staircase photographed from above, the zigzag translated into an abstract pattern where the cut pile catches the light at different angles across each facet. The chevron reads as broken rather than continuous, giving the geometry a relaxed, almost painterly quality at a scale that works comfortably on both upholstery and at the window.

Woven in India from viscose and cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide with an 8 centimetre vertical repeat and 23 centimetre horizontal repeat. The cloth has a lustrous hand and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. Dry cleaning is recommended, and it is available in several colourways.
