Schumacher | Butcher String

Butcher String is based on original hand-drawn artwork by Charlap Hyman & Herrero with Pilar Almon, depicting trompe l'oeil twists of two-tone twine in red and white. Printed on a fibrous ground, the large-scale design reads as both delicate and graphic, elevating an everyday material into something quietly decorative and unexpectedly refined.

Printed in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a 46-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat, sold by the metre from rolls of just over nine metres. The paper is spongeable, and the design suits walls where a lighter touch and a sense of wit are wanted.
