Canopy, designed by Abel Macias, is a mid-scale pattern of floral and fauna motifs drawn from traditional Mexican embroidery, printed onto linen so the design acquires tonal variation and a hand-painted character. The imagery is playful and fanciful, the forms rendered with an informal, illustrative touch that suits the soft, natural ground.
The linen is printed in Italy and made up as a 56-centimetre square cushion, finished with a welt in Langham High Performance Union—a blend of 60 per cent cotton and 40 per cent linen—and filled with feather and down. A concealed zip closes the cover. Dry cleaning is recommended. The design is available in several colourways.
