Cardiff Tape is a basketweave with plain-weave edges, woven on a traditional shuttle loom in the United Kingdom. The blend of wool and cotton gives the tape a strié effect, a fine variation in tone that adds quiet detail. The weave has both vertical and horizontal repeats of 3 centimetres.
Composed of cotton and wool, it is 4 centimetres wide and suits curtains, cushions and upholstered furniture, either alone or layered with other trimmings. Dry cleaning is recommended. The tape is offered in five colourways.
