Schumacher | Castille

Castille is a tone-on-tone design embroidered with hand-guided embellishments, the surface richly worked so the pattern emerges through texture and relief rather than contrast. The result is part Old World romance, part contemporary couture, with a 38 centimetre vertical and 65 centimetre horizontal repeat that gives the design room to breathe.

Embroidered in India on a cloth of 40 per cent cotton, 36 per cent viscose and 24 per cent silk, it is 137 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, the embroidered surface bringing depth and a quietly opulent finish.
