Caterpillar Leaf is a botanical design of unfurling, segmented leaves that climb the wall with the insistent growth of a fairytale beanstalk. Created by Neisha Crosland and inspired by an antique Indian crewelwork cushion, the pattern has a whimsical elegance, the forms stylised but recognisable, the rhythm both orderly and organic.
Printed in the United Kingdom, it is fifty-three centimetres wide with a vertical and horizontal repeat each of fifty-three centimetres, creating a square repeat. Sold by the metre from rolls of 10.054 metres, the surface is spongeable and suits walls where a decorative botanical can set the character of a room.
