Schumacher | Century Scenic Toile

Century Scenic Toile was first created in 1926 for the United States' sesquicentenary and has been reintroduced for the 250th anniversary in 2026. It depicts six American cities framed by florals and trailing vines, printed to echo the texture and detail of antique etchings. The design has a formal, commemorative character and works at a large scale.

Printed in the United States on paper 137 centimetres wide, it has a vertical repeat of 134 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 137 centimetres. Sold by the metre from rolls of 9.14 metres, it is suitable for spot cleaning and best suited to larger rooms, entrance halls or dining rooms where the full scenic can be appreciated.
