Schumacher | Chaser’s Legacy

Chaser's Legacy arranges framed dog portraits in a grid against a marbleised ground, the design drawn from vintage etchings and worked up by hand in the studio. The large scale gives it presence on the wall, while the tonal subtlety—evoking hand-coloured prints and marbled endpapers—keeps it from reading as novelty. It is at once sporting and considered, with enough detail to reward a closer look.

Printed in the United Kingdom on a non-woven ground, it is 69 centimetres wide with a 91-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Each roll covers just over four metres. The surface is spongeable, and the paper is sold by the roll.
