Chavenay Silk Satin is a plain satin weave combining silk and cotton, giving the cloth a soft sheen and a smooth, supple hand. The satin construction produces a lustrous surface that reflects light quietly, and the silk content adds both drape and a natural depth to the finish.
It is woven in India from 52 per cent silk and 48 per cent cotton, 137 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, where the satin weave and silk-cotton blend provide both visual interest and a refined, tactile quality. It is available in a number of colourways.
