Schumacher | Chennai Linen Embroidery

Chennai Linen Embroidery takes stylised floral medallions from traditional Indian textiles and renders them in heavy chain-stitch embroidery on a linen twill ground. The large-scale design is both graphic and richly textural, the stitching adding dimension that shifts with the light and invites touch.

Made in India, it is woven from linen, wool and acrylic, 131 centimetres wide, with an 80-centimetre vertical repeat and 33-centimetre horizontal. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and construction suit upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, where the embroidered surface can be appreciated at close range.
