Schumacher | Chequer Hand Block Print

Chequer Hand Block Print is a medium-scale checkerboard woven into the cloth by hand, block by block, so no two pieces are quite alike. The soft edges and slight irregularities are the signature of the process, giving the geometric a warmth that sits easily beside florals or on its own. The pattern has a gentle, domestic character that reads clearly without dominating a room.

Designed in Britain and block-printed by hand in India on 100% linen, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide with an 18-centimetre vertical repeat and a 20-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery, cushions, curtains and blinds, and is available in several colourways.
