Schumacher | Chequer Hand Block Trim

Chequer Hand Block Trim is a graphic cotton tape block-printed by hand in India to a design by Molly Mahon. The pattern is a simple geometric chequer, and the hand-printing process leaves subtle irregularities in the ink and registration that give the trim a crafted, unstudied character rather than mechanical precision.

Made entirely of cotton, the tape is 9 centimetres wide with a 3-centimetre vertical repeat and a 9-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, cushions and upholstered furniture, adding a cheerful, handmade finish to edges and seams.
