Chinois Fret is a classic Chinese fretwork pattern woven as a jacquard, so the interlocking geometry has structure and relief rather than sitting flat on the surface. The six-centimetre square repeat keeps the pattern tight and architectural, and the cloth is woven to be durable enough for heavy domestic use.
Woven in France from 95% cotton and 5% polyamide, it is 136 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery, and the design is also available as a wallcovering. The pattern comes in twelve colourways.
