Coyolate Hand Woven Brocade is a narrow brocade panel worked on a backstrap loom by Maya women weavers in Guatemala, the pattern built through both weaving and embroidery. The geometric design runs on a 31-centimetre vertical repeat and 15-centimetre horizontal, and because each panel is made by hand, small variations in size, pattern and colour are inherent to the cloth.
Woven entirely of cotton, it measures 48 centimetres wide and suits cushions and upholstery where its singular character can be seen clearly. The cloth is made in Guatemala and should be dry-cleaned. It is available in four colourways.
