Crawford Linen Check is a mid-scale tattersall plaid drawn from an eighteenth-century fabric used for curtains and valances. The even grid of crossing lines reads as quietly architectural rather than country-house, and at this scale it layers comfortably with other patterns without competing for attention.
Woven in India as a jacquard from pure linen, it is 137 centimetres wide with a modest four-centimetre repeat in both directions. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions, and is available in eight colourways as part of the Williamsburg collection.
