Schumacher | Crewel Garden

Crewel Garden is a chain-stitched floral embroidery drawn from a 1960s Schumacher archive, worked by hand in the traditional manner. The flowers are informal and closely spaced, with a directness that avoids sentimentality. The embroidery sits on a linen-cotton ground, and the vertical repeat of twenty-five centimetres allows the pattern to move fluidly across the cloth.

Made in India from linen and cotton, it is 131 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat of sixty-five centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits cushions and upholstery.
