Schumacher | Crowley Épinglé

Crowley Épinglé assembles geometric motifs drawn from antique carpets into a mid-scale pattern worked in dense loop pile. The design reads as an interlocking arrangement of shapes that shift in tone as the loops catch light, giving the surface both texture and movement. The effect is ordered but not rigid, with enough detail to hold interest on larger upholstered pieces.

Woven in Belgium from 90% cotton and 10% polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 34 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 47 centimetres. The loop construction makes it extremely durable and suited to upholstery in constant use—sofas, armchairs, ottomans—as well as cushions. Dry cleaning is recommended. It is available in several colourways.
