Cunard Strié Velvet is a cut-and-looped velvet in which alternating bands of pile and dense loops create a tonal stripe with a directional sheen. The light catches differently across the cut and uncut surfaces, so the stripe shifts as you move around it. The horizontal repeat is 17 centimetres.
Woven in the United States from 56 per cent viscose, 22 per cent polyester and 22 per cent cotton, it is 127 centimetres wide and dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery where a textured velvet stripe is wanted.
