Dagger Stripe, created with Drusus Tabor, takes the familiar stripe and breaks it into rhythmic geometric forms that recall Brancusi's sculptures, the pattern hand-printed on soft linen so each repeat has a slight irregularity. The stripe is medium-scale, neither too bold nor too modest, and the hand-printing gives the design a warmth that mechanical printing would flatten.
Printed in India on pure linen, it is 132 centimetres wide with a 6-centimetre vertical repeat and 10-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. Suitable for curtains, blinds, cushions and light upholstery, the linen ground has a natural give and the hand-printed quality makes the stripe feel less rigid than it might otherwise appear.
