Schumacher | Defeo Embroidery

Defeo Embroidery is a large-scale topographic pattern densely stitched onto a cotton-linen union ground, the embroidery building up an amorphous, graphic surface that reads as both abstract and geological. The design is multidirectional, so it can be used without regard to orientation, and the scale—eighty centimetres vertically, sixty-five horizontally—gives it presence on larger pieces and at the window.

It is embroidered in India on a cloth woven chiefly of cotton and viscose with linen, and is 130 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, and it is available in several colourways. A coordinating wallpaper is also offered.
