Draper Stripe is a textural wallcovering in which cotton-linen and paper yarns are arranged vertically on a paper ground to form a multicolour pinstripe. The natural fibres introduce subtle irregularities and colour variations that are intrinsic to the design, so the stripe reads as handmade rather than mechanical, lending depth and character to a wall without pattern in the decorative sense.
Made in South Korea, it is 91 centimetres wide with an 18-centimetre horizontal repeat, supplied in 7.312-metre rolls and sold by the metre. It requires only vacuuming for care. Suited to hallways, studies and bedrooms, it works where a stripe is wanted with texture and warmth rather than formality.
