Schumacher | Effie Tape

Effie Tape is woven entirely from raffia, the natural fibre left open so the ground fabric shows through between the strands. It adds texture without weight, and the raffia's inherent variation in tone and thickness means the tape reads as handmade.

Made in India from 100 per cent raffia, it is 7 centimetres wide with a 1‑centimetre horizontal repeat. It should be spot-cleaned and suits curtains, cushions and upholstery, particularly where a natural, textural finish is wanted without adding bulk or competing with the main cloth.
