Eland is a botanical stripe hand‑painted by Schumacher's design director, the brushwork left visible so the pattern retains the looseness and irregularity of the original artwork. Delicate stems and leaves are set against broad vertical bands, the contrast between fine drawing and bold structure giving the design its particular character.
Printed on linen in the United States, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 64‑centimetre vertical repeat and 69‑centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in three colourways.
