Elspeth is a large-scale floral embroidered onto a linen and spun polyester ground, the stitching building up blooms in fine detail so they sit proud of the cloth. The pattern reads boldly from a distance but rewards closer inspection, and natural variation in the embroidery is part of its character.
Made in India from 68 per cent linen and 32 per cent spun polyester, it is 133 centimetres wide with a 77-centimetre vertical repeat and 67-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery where a statement floral is wanted with the texture and depth that embroidery brings.
