Emerson takes the quatrefoil as its starting point and prints it with deliberate irregularity, so the geometry reads as hand-painted rather than mechanical. The small-scale repeat has presence without formality, and the loose, casual character suits rooms where pattern is wanted but precision is not.
Woven and printed in the United Kingdom from 100 per cent cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 34 centimetres and a horizontal repeat that runs the full width of the cloth. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric is suitable for curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and it is available in four colourways.
