Emmeline Matelassé traces a simple vine motif across the cloth in low relief, the pattern emerging through the weave rather than printed on top. The design is unfussy and quietly botanical, with a repeat small enough to sit comfortably on chair seats and sofa arms without fuss, yet continuous enough to read clearly when made up into curtains or bedding.
Woven in Italy from pure cotton, it is 135 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 19 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 11 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in three colourways.
