Schumacher | Equix

Equix is a silky, low-pile chenille woven with a geometric pattern that reads as a rich, layered chevron. The cloth is reversible, so the pattern can be used either way up, and the chenille construction gives it a soft hand and a subtle lustre that shifts with the light. The scale is generous—the repeat runs to half a metre vertically—so it suits larger pieces where the geometry can be seen whole.

Woven in Italy from viscose, cotton and polyester, it is 140 centimetres wide with a 54-centimetre vertical repeat and a 36-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth is upholstery weight and durable, so it suits sofas, armchairs and cushions in regular domestic use.
