Fable is a hand-woven cloth in which a tonal plaid is interrupted by small geometric motifs threaded individually between the warp on a pedal loom, a traditional Guatemalan technique called pepanado. Created by A Rum Fellow, the design has the irregularity and presence of something made by hand, one pass at a time, and the medium-scale check gives it structure without stiffness.
It is woven in Guatemala from cotton on a 122-centimetre width, with a 25-centimetre vertical repeat and a 19-centimetre horizontal repeat. The textural weave suits upholstery, curtains and cushions, and dry cleaning is recommended. It is available in four colourways.
