Faye Ikat is a warp ikat woven by hand in India, the cotton yarns dyed before weaving so the stripe emerges with the soft, irregular edges characteristic of the technique. The result is a medium-scale multicolour stripe that reads as both structured and relaxed, the slight blur of the ikat lending movement to what might otherwise be a formal repeat.
Woven entirely of cotton, it is 135 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 12 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 15 centimetres. The tight weave makes it suitable for upholstery as well as curtains, blinds and cushions. It may be washed at 30 degrees and is available in several colourways.
