Schumacher | Flemish Tapestry

Flemish Tapestry is a full-width scenic design inspired by old-world verdure tapestries, depicting a painterly landscape with depth and layered detail. Woven from more than ten individual hues of cotton yarn, the cloth captures the rich, muted coloration of traditional Flemish tapestries, and the intricacy of the weave gives the design remarkable dimension. The tight weave and dry hand make the cloth substantial enough for upholstery or to be displayed as a wall hanging.

Woven in the United States from cotton, it is 140 centimetres wide with a 253-centimetre vertical repeat and 139-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The monumental scale suits large upholstery pieces or walls, where the full landscape can be appreciated, and the textural weave brings the depth of a traditional tapestry to contemporary interiors.
