Schumacher | Full Bloom Embroidery

Full Bloom Embroidery is a large-scale floral worked by hand onto a linen ground, each bloom and leaf built up in thread with the slight irregularities that only handwork can give. The design reads as both generous and grounded, the embroidery sitting proud of the cloth in a way that changes with the light. At 76 centimetres vertically and 66 horizontally, the repeat is substantial enough to be seen whole on curtains or a bedhead.

It is embroidered in India on a cloth of linen and cotton, 133 centimetres wide, and comes in three colourways. Dry cleaning is recommended. The hand-embroidered surface makes it most suited to curtains, blinds and cushions, where the stitching can be appreciated without abrasion, though it will also work for occasional upholstery such as a bedroom chair or headboard.
