Gainsbourg is a lustrous faille stripe in cotton and bamboo, the fibres giving the cloth a soft hand and a subtle sheen that catches the light across the ribs. Drawn from the Schumacher archive, it is a versatile stripe that works as well gathered into panels as it does pulled taut over a chair frame.
Woven in India from 63 per cent cotton and 37 per cent bamboo, it is 139 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat of nine centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in four colourways.
