Garden Gate Chintz is a full-blown floral with a painterly, slightly lilting quality, the leaves and blooms densely layered in the manner of classic chintz but with a looser, more contemporary hand. The 64-centimetre vertical repeat gives the design room to breathe, so it reads as generous rather than busy, and the printed cotton takes colour well.
Printed in the United Kingdom on 100% cotton, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide with a 34-centimetre horizontal repeat. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and dry cleaning is recommended. Four colourways are available.
