Schumacher | Gardenia

Gardenia is a small-scale stylised floral print drawn from sixteenth-century botanical illustrations made during Ferdinand Magellan's voyages to the New World. Delicate flower sprigs are arranged with a subtle stripe effect across a fine linen ground that carries a soft finish, lending the design a dainty, almost naive character that reads gently in smaller rooms and on upholstered pieces.

Printed in Italy on pure linen, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 13 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 10 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits bedroom upholstery, cushions, curtains and blinds, and is also produced as a wallpaper. The design is available in several colourways.
