Garland Velvet is a cut velvet in which a stylised botanical motif is worked with a strié ground, the pile catching light unevenly to give the pattern a graphic, almost deco clarity. The texture is lush and the effect quietly glamorous.
Woven in Belgium from viscose, cotton and polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 74-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The velvet suits upholstery and cushions where a tactile, patterned surface is wanted.
