Schumacher | Giraffe Velvet

Giraffe Velvet is an abstracted animal pattern worked in cut pile and loop, the contrast in texture creating a mid-scale geometry that reads as chevron or broken stripe depending on the angle. The pile has a slight sheen and a soft hand, and the design—revived from the Schumacher archive—carries an easy, graphic confidence.

Woven in India from 66% viscose and 34% cotton, it is 141 centimetres wide with a 51-centimetre vertical repeat and a 34-centimetre horizontal. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery and cushions.
