Schumacher | Gold Leaf

Gold Leaf is a wallcovering composed of real metal leaf, applied by hand in individual squares to create a surface of quiet, shifting lustre. The technique produces subtle variations in tone and texture across the wall, so the metal catches and reflects light differently as you move through the room.

It is hand-produced in Taiwan and supplied 91 centimetres wide by the metre, with rolls of just over ten metres. The metal surface requires only gentle vacuuming with a soft brush, and it suits feature walls and smaller rooms where the reflective quality can be appreciated at close range.
