Half Moon Velvet sets offset circles into a repeating pattern of cut and loop pile, the two surfaces catching light differently so the motif shifts between figure and ground as you move around it. Woven on a traditional wire loom, the design reads as graphic and textural in equal measure, with a repeat of 63 by 68 centimetres.
Made in Belgium from a blend of cotton and polyester, it is 136 centimetres wide and available in three colourways. The construction makes it suitable for upholstery and cushions, where the contrast between cut and loop pile adds dimension without pattern in the conventional sense.
