Schumacher | Heiho Ikat

Heiho Ikat is a feather-edged check woven as a double ikat, in which both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving, a technique over a thousand years old. The result is a check with soft, blurred edges where the dyed threads meet, giving the geometry a hand-worked, imprecise quality that distinguishes it from a printed or plain-woven stripe.

Woven in India from cotton, it is 110 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of four centimetres and a horizontal repeat of three centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions, and is made in two colourways.
