Schumacher | Hix Embroidered Sisal

Hix Embroidered Sisal works interlocking diamonds into a textured sisal ground, the embroidery adding a second layer of relief to the already tactile surface. The geometry is clear but not rigid, and the natural variations in the sisal—part of its inherent character—mean no two lengths are identical. It brings both pattern and material interest to the wall.

Made in India, it is 71 centimetres wide with a 13-centimetre vertical repeat and a 10-centimetre horizontal repeat. Each roll holds just over seven metres, and the paper is sold by the metre. It should be vacuumed only, using a soft brush to protect the embroidery and the sisal.
