Hurdles Performance translates a scalloped motif—originally from a velvet scarf design by Neisha Crosland, inspired by the overlapping plates of samurai armour—into an embossed velvet with a rhythmic, protective texture. The pattern has a 7 centimetre horizontal repeat and the pile catches light in waves as you move around it.
Woven in Italy from a blend of nylon, cotton, viscose, polyester and linen, it is 140 centimetres wide and engineered for heavy use: stain-resistant and hardwearing. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery and cushions, and is made in several colourways.
