Indali is a faithful reproduction of a 1920s block-printed pattern, its twisted floral vines traced with fine, embroidery-like linework that gives the design a handmade delicacy. The pattern has the rhythm and irregularity of the original printing process, so it reads as both historical and quietly animated on the wall.
Printed in the United States, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 51 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 69 centimetres. Sold by the metre from 9.14-metre rolls, it is spongeable and suited to wallcovering in rooms where a sense of archive and craft is appropriate. The design is also available as a fabric.
