Schumacher | Indira Embroidery

Indira Embroidery is a meandering flowering vine worked in chain-stitch embroidery on a cotton canvas ground, its motifs rooted in traditional Indian textile design. The pattern is large in scale and open in feel, the stitching giving the flowers and tendrils a raised, textural presence that animates the surface.

Made in India from one hundred per cent cotton, it is 145 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 66 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 48 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, bringing an exotic floral element with the tactile interest of hand embroidery.
