Isla Hand Embroidery features chunky embroidered rosettes worked by hand onto a cotton-linen ground, each motif carrying the visible trace of the maker. The embroidery is worked in silk, the rosettes reading as bold, textural forms rather than delicate detail, and the irregularities of the handwork give the cloth character and presence.
Made in India, it is 145 centimetres wide with a 53-centimetre vertical repeat and 67-centimetre horizontal repeat. The ground is cotton and linen, the embroidery silk. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery, where the embroidered rosettes can be seen and appreciated. It is available in several colourways.
