Schumacher | Izmir Ikat

Izmir Ikat takes the blurred, dye-resist geometry of a traditional woven ikat and prints it onto linen, so the pattern gains the freedom of an all-over repeat without the constraints of the loom. The painterly colourings carry tonal shifts that give each motif a hand-worked, individual character, softening the regularity of the repeat.

Printed in the United Kingdom, the cloth is 90 per cent linen with 10 per cent nylon, 137 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 46 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 34 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in two colourways.
