Jardin de Louis is a cotton brocade inspired by an eighteenth-century silk lampas woven for Louis XV's private apartments at Versailles. The design gathers fruit, flowers, trees and castles into a richly detailed composition that carries both formality and a degree of whimsy, the scale generous enough to be read clearly but not so large as to overwhelm.
Woven in Italy, chiefly of viscose with cotton and polyester, it is 140 centimetres wide with a 40-centimetre vertical repeat and a 47-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is made up in several colourways.
