Jefferson Tented Stripe was originally created by the interior designer Mark D. Sikes for Blair House, the presidential guesthouse in Washington. It is a refined multi-width stripe with a subtle strié effect woven into the cloth, so the surface has a gentle texture rather than a flat finish. The design has a formal, institutional restraint.
Woven in India from one hundred per cent fire-retardant polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat of 22 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, upholstery, cushions and walls, and is offered in several colourways.
