Kandira takes the graphic language of woven ikats and translates it into a painterly checkerboard on linen. The tonal variations and rhythmic repeat give the design a handmade quality, the pattern reading as both structured and loose depending on the light.
Printed in France on pure linen, it is 135 centimetres wide with a 75-centimetre vertical repeat and a 23-centimetre horizontal repeat. It can be machine washed up to 40 degrees. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in seven colourways.
