Schumacher | Kandula

Kandula is based on a document from the 1830s, a delicate pattern crowded with tiny vignettes of an exotic world: picturesque scenes, botanical details and moments of narrative that reward close inspection. The effect is enchanting without being fussy, the small scale allowing the design to sit quietly or gather into a richer texture depending on the distance from which it is viewed.

Printed in Thailand on pure linen, it is 140 centimetres wide with a 30 centimetre vertical repeat and 46 centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery.
