Kapanga Embroidery is a medium-scale stripe with a zigzag motif stitched onto a woven ground that has a soft strié effect, the surface shifting subtly in tone across the width. The embroidery gives the design a handmade, artisanal quality, the stitched line adding texture and movement to the geometric structure.
Made in India from 57 per cent cotton and 43 per cent linen, it is 135 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 63 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 67 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is made in several colourways.
